How to Divert Calls

Our service works by answering your clients calls when you can not, to do this we need you to send your calls to us. There are many ways to do this but by far the easiest and most common way is to use the call divert function on your existing phone line.

By diverting your calls to us it means that you are always in control of when we answer your calls, many clients choose to send all calls to us, others only on a Friday afternoon whilst they have a weekly meeting and some purely as an overflow for when they are already on a call. However and whenever you send calls to us you can be relaxed that your business can carry on answering and attending to your clients even if you are otherwise engaged. I don’t have a telephone line I can divert, can you still help?

Yes, we can provide you with a telephone number that you can advertise or promote your business with and make sure it is in the same geographic location you desire. For example if you’re business is based in Bristol we can supply you with a 0117 number, in London an 0207 number, in Edinburgh an 0131 number- where ever you are in the UK we can supply what we call a “local presence” number to suit.

We can also provide 0845 numbers and 0808 freephone numbers depending on how you wish to portray you business to callers and clients.

Popular BT divert codes:

  1. Press the * key
  2. Enter one of these codes:
    • 21 to divert all calls
    • 61 to divert calls you don’t answer within 15 seconds
    • 67 to divert calls when your phone is engaged
  3. Press the * key again
  4. Enter the phone number you want to divert calls to
  5. Press the # key

To check Call Diversion is on:

  1. Press the * key
  2. Press the # key
  3. Enter the code you used when you switched on call diversion (21, 61 or 67)
  4. Press the # key again

To switch off call diversion

  1. Press the # key
  2. Enter the code you used when you switched on call diversion (21, 61 or 67)
  3. Press the # key
